The MediaTek Helio A22 is an entry-level SoC designed for budget smartphones and tablets, offering a balanced mix of performance and efficiency. Announced in mid-2018, this chipset is manufactured using a 12-nanometer process technology, which ensures good power efficiency and reasonable performance for everyday tasks.
The Helio A22 features a quad-core CPU configuration with ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 2.0 GHz. This setup provides sufficient processing power for basic applications, web browsing, and multimedia consumption, making it ideal for budget-friendly devices.
For graphics, the A22 is equipped with an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, which delivers adequate performance for light gaming and video playback, ensuring smooth visuals and a satisfactory user experience.
